Yaak is looking for a Technical Product Manager who is passionate about teaching humans and machines how to drive safely. We have just successfully delivered our safe driving product to the first driving schools, reimagining how people learn how to drive. To go from here, we need to further design, build, validate and scale our product components, that include 3D simulation, AI / Data products, internal tools, instructor/student facing tools, hardware and vehicle integration, among others.
We don't expect you to have experience with all elements of our products. Your product experience is likely from a software and data defined product that has slightly more complex release cycles than a web app. It can be from Gaming, VR, Education Tech, Robotics, AI, Consumer Electronics or similar.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will help paint a detailed picture for our engineering team, contributing to our vision and roadmap and deriving technical and market-informed requirements for execution by Yaak's design, mechanic and engineering teams. Success in this role will help accelerate the expansion of our market and catalyze the transformational benefits of self-driving vehicles.
You report to the Head of Product and will also support in conducting regular product meetings with senior management in the company.
You will:
Map technical capabilities with improvements to product or customer value (including internal software teams) to further shape and prioritize the development roadmap
Consult with UI/UX and design team to continuously support delivery of a coherent product experience across vehicle, HW and SW touchpoints
Define key measurements for success of your efforts, and analyze metrics to contribute to the success of Yaak products overall
Facilitate the shaping and clear communication of goals for the team’s product strategy, roadmap, plans, and priorities to stakeholders and leadership
Develop strong relationships with stakeholders (both internally and externally, i.e. customers or suppliers) in order to facilitate well-informed decisions
Big plus for:
B2 level German skills or above to be able to interact with our German-speaking customer base
Deep experience in product development of complex systems across multiple domains
Experience with software being deployed on non mainstream hardware or somehow being constrained by hardware
Valid class B drivers license
Bonus points for:
Extensive Atlassian JIRA & Confluence knowledge
